Job Description
To direct and oversee all the Accounting and finance related activities of the Branch including activities relating to timely accounting, payroll processing, cash & fund management, accounts receivable & payable, MIS reports to HO, tax matters and all statutory compliance.

Accounts Manager Responsibilities:
1. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department
2. Monitoring and analysing accounting data and produce financial reports or
statements
3. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and
principles and implementation of policies and procedures as directed by
the Head office
4. Payments processing which will include review for mathematical
correctness of employees’ and suppliers’ claims, computation of
applicable withholding taxes, preparation of payment vouchers and checks
for approval by Head Office;
5. Co-ordinate and arrange signing of checks, bank memos, and other forms of
payment by authorized officers;
6. Review for completeness and compilation of all documents supporting the
financial transactions;
7. Recording and summarization of all transactions on a monthly basis using
the company’s prescribed accounting software;
8. Preparation of the following monthly reports:
• Balance sheet
• Income statement
• Analyses/schedules of significant accounts
• Bank reconciliation statements
9. Preparation and filing, together with payment, of the tax returns,
Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) reports and all statutory
compliance.
10. Assistance that may be provided to external auditors in connection with
the audit of the year-end financial statements.
11. Processing of the regular payroll and preparation of the following
reports:
a. Payroll summary by cost center, payslips and instruction for bank pay-
out;
b. Journal entries required for accounting purposes;
c. Schedules supporting the details of additions to and deductions from the
employees’ basic salaries;
d. Schedule of final pay of resigned employees;
e. Schedule detailing compliance with the requirements of government
agencies for withholding taxes on compensation and SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-
ibig, and other contributions.
12. Annualization of employees’ withholding taxes on or before the last
payroll period of the year to determine the adjustments that needs to be
made to the taxes due on the employees’ annual income.
13. Preparation of the following tax returns/reports and remittances of the
corresponding taxes, contributions and loan repayments to applicable
government agencies:
a. Monthly and quarterly Social Security System (SSS) contributions and loan
repayments;
b. Monthly and quarterly PhilHealth (Medicare) contributions;
c. Monthly Pag-ibig membership contributions and loan repayments;
d. Monthly withholding tax on compensation return;
e. Annual information return of income tax withheld on compensation and
final withholding tax and alphabetical list of employees from whom taxes
were withheld during the taxable year;
f. Certificates of income taxes withheld on compensation to be issued to
employees upon resignation or at year-end.

Supervises and controls the accounting system and maintains books of accounts.

Desire Profile Specification
Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
The candidate must be a Degree Holder of Financial Management. CA’s and those with MBA degree will have an added advantage.
The candidate must have a minimum 3 years of experience of working in a corporate.
The candidate must have strong communication skills and a team player with ability to direct and supervise.
He/She must have good knowledge of Philippine GAAP and preferably IFRS along with local labour laws and regulatory compliance.
